While you have been planning for your business it's no surprise that must figure out where the operations will take place. There are many options for all businesses, but which one is right for you and will help you save the most time and money?

Of course, some businesses do require a large warehouse to start production. This brief summary of finding a right location will most likely help the small business owners working from home. Larger companies seeking places for production should try to look outside the box. The first place to look is locations that will offer tax incentives for bringing business to an area or moving your company into an old historic factory building. Generally, you can get a great deal and be considered somewhat of a philanthropist to the community. This helps your image and your pocketbook.

For the small businesses working from home either looking for a larger office space or just trying to get out of the house there are some great options for you. Over the past few years business incubators have been popping up all over the country. Actually there is about 800 throughout the USA. What is a business incubator? Incubators offer small businesses office space with computers, conference rooms, fax machines, copy machines, and much more at a low cost. They even tend to be month-to-month leases. In fact, many incubators offer more accessibility to advanced technology than some medium sized businesses. This is also a place for you to network with other small business owner's and to learn from the challenges they have faced. This alone is well worth you starting at an incubator and you can't beat the cost compared to office space in the community. To find your closest location go to http://www.nbia.org/ .

The next best option for most startup businesses is finding a location in a downtown area in your community. Most of the time you can find affordable office space from small professional firms that are trying to fill office space to help subsidize cost. If you want to be a true entrepreneur you can buy a historic structure that can be used as office space and rent out the remaining space to other businesses. The reason for the emphasis on the historic structure is that many communities are offering many incentives to relocate businesses back into their failing downtown region to help rejuvenate the downtown economy.

Of course, you can work from home, but working from home may end up tying up more of your time depending on the distractions. This can include family, friends, neighbors, or chores. Remember if your trying to get your business off the ground and help it reach its full potential you have to stay dedicated and focused. But, it is nice being able to work in your pajamas. Just keep in mind that the options for you to work outside of home are affordable in most cases and maybe worth it if you can gain valuable connections through networks outside your home.

I am in my last year of Accounting and Economics & Finance. I have worked for any industry out there from farming, fast food, retail, cold calling, personal lending, and consulting. I am young in age, but experienced well beyond my years. I now own three companies and host my own radio show while wearing many hats throughout the community.
